The problem

The first years of a child's life generate a stream of things worth recording — weights and heights at every check-up, the vaccination schedule, first steps, first words — and almost all of it ends up scattered across a notes app, a camera roll and a paper booklet from the clinic. When a second parent or a grandparent asks what the last measurement was, nobody can answer without digging. DADI keeps all of it in one place and keeps everyone who matters in sync.

DADI is a cross-platform mobile application built with React Native and Expo, shipping to both the App Store and Google Play from a single codebase. It is organised around the things parents actually return to week after week rather than a general-purpose journal.

Growth tracking

Height, weight and head circumference are recorded per visit and plotted over time, so a pattern is visible at a glance rather than reconstructed from a stack of clinic cards. Entries are timestamped and editable, because measurements are often written down after the fact.

Milestones and memories

Milestones cover the developmental markers parents are told to watch for, with space to note when each one happened. Memories are the softer counterpart — photos and short notes attached to a date, kept alongside the clinical record instead of lost in a camera roll of ten thousand images.

Vaccination schedule

The immunisation schedule is tracked per child, showing what has been given and what is due next. This is the single most common reason parents dig through paperwork, and the most consequential to get wrong.

Family sharing

A child record is not owned by one phone. DADI supports a family view so a second parent, a grandparent or a carer sees the same history, which removes the constant relay of "what did the doctor say".

Wellness

A parallel section tracks the parent rather than the child — because the people doing the caring are the ones most likely to stop recording anything about themselves.

Built to run offline first

Clinics have poor signal and parents are frequently one-handed. The app is built so that recording something never depends on a live connection, and syncs when it can.

Yes. DADI is built with React Native and Expo and ships to both the App Store and Google Play from a single codebase, so both platforms get features at the same time.

Can both parents see the same records?

Yes. A child's record is shared through the family view, so a second parent, grandparent or carer sees the same growth history, vaccination status and milestones.

Does it work without an internet connection?

Recording works offline. Entries are stored on the device and synchronise once a connection is available, which matters because clinic waiting rooms rarely have usable signal.

Is my child's health data private?

Records are visible only to the account holder and the family members they explicitly invite. Nothing is shared publicly or with third parties.
